Selling our 1985 Land Rover Defender 110 soft top with current South Dakota registration and title. Truck was originally registered in Nevada until February of last year. Currently the truck is in Oceanside, CA. Mileage is at a little over 21,000.
Lots of newly upgraded parts and work done but not a fully restored truck.
New LT77 transmission from Ashcroft in England. New heavy duty clutch and slave cylinder.
Canvas ExMoor soft top with side windows included new in the box, only put on for the photos. Usually we have a bikini top on.
Tires have good tread P245/75/R16 Firestone Destination LE mounted on Discovery wheels with 30mm spacers and solid Range Rover lugs ( not the tin Disco covers ). I also have the original steel Wolf rims which could be swapped back depending on the buyer’s preference. The last photo uploaded show how the truck looked with the black Wolf wheels.
Pro Comp 9000 front and rear shocks, and new steering damper.
New front pads on disc brakes, new rear brake cylinders and shoes for the drum brakes in back.
Custom braided stainless steel oil lines from Mesa Hose ( 3 piece assembly ) going to and from the oil cooler.
Just changed fluids, belts, fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, and fuel lift pump.
New glow plugs and diesel injectors
Upgraded front grill with Trucklite LED headlights and WiPac LED running and directional lights.
New Tuffy Security locking center console.
Driver and passenger seats were reupholstered with Exmoor kits and new rear bench seat cushions with seat belts were added.
Right hand drive. 2.5L Diesel non-aspirated 4 cylinder engine with new 5 speed LT77 transmission. Great mileage but you won’t win any drag races. Top speed is about 110kph/ 68mph.
Dual 15 gallon diesel tanks with cockpit selector switch.
Black Wingtop diamond plate protectors.
Additional side compartment capable of storing two extra 5 gallon Jerry cans.
24 volt electrical system fitted with two batteries and cockpit power kill switch.
Solid frame and doors with no rust. Bulkhead has no rust. In great shape for a 34yrs old vehicle.
I am the original importer of the truck a little over 5 years ago and have all the documents. This truck was used in Singapore and was equipped from the factory in England with just about every feature available at the time. Factory underbody coating, roll down door windows, interior door cards, bonnet mount spare tire, power assist steering, and oil cooler. Singapore is an island only about 35 miles wide, so very little mileage was put on the truck. Most of its service life was spent in storage. It shows wear on some areas of the body panels, mostly on the driver’s side ( right side ).
I have been working on this truck for some time but sadly have to let it go. Too many projects and now too many kids. Asking $22,500 on CL but would let it go for $20,500 for a ExPo member. Thanks for taking a look!
