PRICE: $70k USD
Coach built as a tour bus for use in Northern Territory (Aus) in 1989.

Bought by myself in 2012 for restoration and conversion into overland vehicle we spent 3 years replacing everything that moved, and most things that don’t. All of the work was completed by either myself (Mechanical Engineer), specialist workshops, Series Landy Rescue and a professional joiner.

The intention was for my wife and I to do the multi-year round the world trip, our business and now 2 babies mean we haven’t taken it outside of Australia.

The truck cost well over $120k to build excluding the countless man hours put in by myself. My loss will definitely be someone else's gain here.

What’s it like to live with:
The truck sits happily at 90kph, have had it up to 110 but starts to feel unsettled and with the 4 speed you run out of gears.
It is a very comfortable drive, the 3 axles and suspension seats soak up the bumps better than anything else I have driven.
It is kind of noisy, kind of slow but unstoppable. The mechanical isuzu 4bd1t is pretty much bullet proof.
I have never had it bogged, a couple of times I have lost forward momentum but, just lock all 5 (yes 5) diff locks and the old girl just keeps moving.
The car isnt perfect, we have used it for 3-4 years so it has a small scratch here and there, but it presents as a 4 year old vehicle, not 29 years old.
Oh and be prepared to have people come up and talk to you most places you stop.

I am sure I have missed a load, any questions just let me know.

Dave
