2004 Mercedes Sprinter 2500 Cargo Van that has been converted into a camper. This is the high top long 140 wheel base Sprinter. 2.7L 5 cylinder turbodiesel. 202,000 miles - runs good - new glow plugs and control unit installed recently.
Interior outfitted by a craftsman in Maple. Includes Goal Zero Solar System - with 2 Panel Roof System. DRY Setup.. no sink/shower, etc.
Needs a front bumper. Rear bumper also has some damage. Needs exhaust work too. Overall body is in ok shape - some dings and dents and bits of rust (no thru rust) from a life well used. Driven right up until last week - April 20th.
Needs a bit of TLC, but for short money you can have a nice little "tiny house on wheels" or weekend camper. Still plenty of life and miles left on this one - and the price is right - other conversions of this same van year are upwards of $12 $15k. The motor alone is worth $6,000 according to those in the know.
Bought the van last summer for $10k - lived in it for 3 months in fall winter in upstate VT while on a remote heavy construction job working on a dam project. Now home and don't need the van. Had an accident on icy road in White Mountains that took out the front bumber and dented the rear. Was not insured and have not bothered to do repairs. Dad wants it out of his driveway. Make me an offer - with a little work it is road ready. This van toured the country twice prior to my purchasing it with a guy and his girlfriend living in it and hitting all the national parks.
