Like new 2018 Ford Transit 250 High Roof Extended Length with the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. ~4500 miles. Conversion to a campervan for four has just been finished! Asking $95,000

The van was bought new and was intended to be a cross-country national park hopper for our family of four and a large dog. But as life would have it, now we’re building a house and don’t anticipate much #vanlife for the next two years. As the seller/builder, I currently work as a mechanical/electrical/controls engineer, and have years of experience as a finish carpenter and custom cabinetmaker. Building a custom camper van is where my experience, expertise and skills have intersected and was built over the years with expert care, as I enjoy the process and precision (to my wife’s chagrin).

The cabinetry and trim is built from reclaimed walnut and hickory from Hurricane Fran (1996!). Details include matched door and drawer fronts, push-to-open drawers and fully adjustable euro hinges. I added the rear four windows for natural light, ambiance and ventilation. It is designed to operate indefinitely off-grid, but has standard RV hookups for 120VAC and water.

The van is parked in Harrisonburg, VA and delivery is available! Also, please PM for more pictures.

Nice looking build out. Now, someone could still take this to PA and let Quigley give it the 4x4 treatment......

In answer to my own question, and in case anyone else is curious.

Lovely woodwork

Thanks for the kind words Johnboyy.

Below are some additional pictures of the sleeping area. After several iterations, I settled on putting in a pivot point and having guided bearings on the fixed side. Even with the light torsion box platform, the queen size was awkward to set up and stow without two people. With the guide a pivot (that then folds out of the way) it's pretty easy to do solo.
