2018 JK build- GOBI

#51
So the build is NOT complete, but it's driving :)

Still to complete:
  • Align (later today)
  • Had an issue with the front drive shaft so we're waiting on it.
  • Fenders are mostly done but still a couple of brackets and some paint.
  • Install ARB air and plumb lockers
  • Choose an inner fender
  • Choose a rear bumper or delete
  • Install heated seats
  • Install Bartact seat covers
  • Install remote start
  • Install Stainless brake lines
  • Install Apollointech switch pod
  • Install rear license holder
  • Install tail lights
  • Switch drag link end to under mount (not doing high steer)
  • Dual batteries
Once all that is done I'll start shopping for a trailer to build.

Here's some pics of what we've done since the last post.

Steersmarts steering components, drag link, tie rod and track bar. Pictures don't do things things justice, they are absolutely HUGE. 1 1/2 ton ends that are grease-able.

Adam's drive shafts (still waiting on a yoke for the front)

Ready to roll out

And driving home

Based on the overall "build", a simple rear bumper delete would seem perfect.
The Jeep looks so clean and simple, it's kind of a "sleeper", with all the high tech hidden underneath.

Love to see builds so clean like this.

Did I just miss the post on the tire balancing? Are you running beads in the tires?

Thanks CS!! No beads, just plain ol' sticky weights. They're balanced well, Jeep drives great!
