I thought it was the 3.8 that was hated in the Wrangler? Generally I thought the 3.6 was pretty well received in all the FCA products that use it, no?

Yup, that's pretty much it.

Anyway, this article seems more like rumours than news. Not much has been said officially by FCA.

I had a 1994 Dakota 4x4 with the 3.9L V6

Maybe the best truck I ever owned. Beat on the motor and trans hard and never had an issue

Plenty of power and the 4x4 system with manual lever was great
