270* awning plus 90* awning questions

I have a right side Batwing on order but am starting to wonder if a 90* awning on the left side might be a good addition. Anyone here done this? Positives/negatives? If it’s a go, would you recommend the same size (2.5m/8.2’) for the straight out awning or is going down a size (7’2/2m) better?

Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks.

I was thinking, do you have a RTT or what are you outfitting? If you have a RTT, what side are leaving to access it? Your Batwing will keep you from entering your RTT on the right side and rear. If you install another awning on the left side, you'll have trouble getting into your tent if both are deployed at the same time. JB has an awning that just started production with a "tunnel" access though the roof of the awning to one of the sides of their RTTs. You might check with OK4WD for details & availability.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I guess I forgot those details. D’oh.

This will be going on a FJ Cruiser. RTT is on the trailer so no need to get on top of the vehicle. Just trying to get the Mrs and French bulldogs as much shade as possible.

Just in case anyone ever has the same question as I did, go the same size. You can place the 90* a couple inches forward of the 270* awning without issue. These are two 8.2’ Rhino Rack Awnings.
