614d vs 816d?

Need a bit of advice guys please.

I have owned a 614d vario for over 5 years now, but i am looking at a 816d vario. I am looking for the differences between the two. Am i right in thinking that the 816 is full air brakes as opposed to my air over hydraulic?

Never had a vehicle with air brakes before if this is the case, is there anything i need to know?

My 814 DA is air over Hydraulic. I don't think any of the Vario derivatives have full air brakes

Thanks Ian, don't know where i got the full air brakes from then. I think i saw a compressor for sale for a 814 once that wasn't electric like the 614, must of confused me.

Our 814DA is air over Hydraulic also, but the compressor is not electric.

Air/hydraulic brakes on the 815DA as well. Pure air on the handbrake.

Mines a 98 614d and the one i was looking at was an 07 816, but it went at auction for more than i wanted to pay ;-(
