Adrenaline camper owners, post up here!!!

Hello all,

I just picked up a 2013 Adrenaline Rush camper from Montrose, CO yesterday and looking for other owners to post up their trailers along with the mods. I haven't see many threads on this short production run of a trailer so I figured on starting a new thread. This trailer is similar to the Kimberly or King camper and has air suspension. My Kamparoo is also similar to this camper but not nearly as "refined".

Mine is a one owner trailer who bought it brand new from Ric, the owner of Adrenaline, back in 2013 and took great care of it. There are spots on the alum which I think is from road salt but not sure. I've advised to use some sort of a polish to see if I can work the spots out. My Kamparoo will be going on the auction block this spring I'd imagine.

The first two pics are in Silverton, CO. The third pic shows the spots on the Alum. Fourth pic shows the weight of 2240# as it currently sits with an empty water tank and all canvas+poles+two batts+20# propane bottle (unknown qty inside).

Cheers.

Oh yeah, I digested that thread ad nauseam, along with this thread on Expo. They're both full of great info and a well done video.

Thanks.

I've been doing some playing around with the camper and the spare tire solution that it currently has. I'll be ditching the swing out solution and plan on placing the spare under the frame, tucked as high as possible. The tires on this thing is 285 75 16s, load Range E. This is about the dumbest size and capacity you can have on a 2200# trailer but that's my opinion. I'm investigating 245 75 16s or 235 85 16s. The 235s will allow the spare to provide the highest amount of ground clearance.

Unfortunately, I don't want to fabricate a cross member for a spare tire winch as it'll push the spare down even further. But, if I have 235 85 16s, maybe there'd be room for a cross member, don't know yet.

Tongue weight:
with the spare tire in the factory location: 270#
spare tire removed but swing out intact in place: 300#
spare tire and swing out removed: 345#
spare tire located on top of the camper, directly above where it'll live under the trailer: 330#

The 20g water tank does reside in the farthest back of the trailer so it'll definitely unload the tongue weight.

Here are some random pics from past weekend.

another side view, showing the rear suspension arms. I didn't calc this but 235 85 16s might make the bottom of the tire even with the control arms.

Moved the spare tire from the back tire swing/table thing to front/under. Also went with a smaller/narrower tire General Grabber A/T 235 85 16 vs what's on there now 285 75 16 Load range E. The hand crank winch thing is used to lower/raise the spare tire carrier before using the two pins to secure everything. This weekend camping trip was a good test run as nothing moved. I don't see me accessing this spare tire for a very long time! Ace hardware has the hardware items that allowed me to redirect the strap around for this application. 1/2" alum skid plate was used as well.

There wasn't an easy to access the water hose, pneumatic hoses and electrical wiring that are located under/inside the pull out drawers. The drawers don't pull all the way out easily so I cut a hole under the bed for accessing this area. This allowed me to clean up all the mess down there and improvements will be coming in the next few weeks. One of the pic shows how much things are squished once both drawers are closed. I'll need to address this somehow as I hate to force the drawers closed.

Espar S2 heater install.

The heater was installed and worked out nicely this past weekend. I did keep having "external temp sensor" fault that needs to be resolved.

This is what happens when the bump stops aren't tall enough and you forget to raise the suspension back up before towing!!! The PO did this and I'll address this asap.
