Bit less MABDR and more Byway as we leave Virginia

We left Virginia and entered West Virginia. The Temperature & humidity was on the rise and forecasted to stay that way (or climb) all week. We needed out of this and get to where suits us better. That took getting into PA!

We will go back, but it will be later in the season! There's just so much to see and explore!

Ever make it to PA sections of the MABDR? I've seen you post several times related to the MABDR. I'm currently in the beginning stages of planning a camping trip along the PA sections of the MABDR for this July.

I live in Western PA and most of the trail is east of central PA. I'm slightly familiar with the areas but have only put tires on a very small section of the trail outside Chambersburg PA so far.

I ran the whole thing in 2020 in our JK pulling a teardrop camper. Nothing challenging really along the trail for a 4wd vehicle. We even took all of the "extreme" sections. It was very scenic, but nothing really noteworthy as far as the trail obstacles go.

The MABDR had some of the smoothest dirt roads I have ever been on. Running the full route made a significant impact on my tires though. They all looked rounded and shredded a little from all the gravel.

Thanks @97tjguzzy that's what I expected for the MABDR, it seems much more mild than some sections of the western BDRs. I'll be doing this in my F150 with a RTT in tow so I'm glad to see you had no issues traversing it with a trailer as well.
