Camper Truck Acquired :)

I thought I'd follow up on my previous thread as I've now bought a truck. She's an old girl 1991 FG434 SWB but ticked quite a few boxes.
It's already got 19.5's and 285/70's on it (35.2 inch?), tyres are not really off road type but may get Toyo's before travelling to far. The camper section is dated but it's a molded Fibreglass unit with steel frame support sections. What I loved was the size. It contours with the cab (poor man's Earthcruiser haha) and isn't overly high as it's a pop top (one side hinged). Though with the top down it's still very usable as I only need duck slightly. A 165-170cm person could stand fully I'd say. The truck itself is a non turbo 4D31 3.3L, so slow as hell. Though I'll likely turbo this to help keep speed on the hills and in sand. A few pics of it and the trip 2200km return trip to get it with a mate. It's somewhat dated and once I work out what I exactly want/need they'll be changes, but it was 1/2 the price of some other options I was considering that still needed heaps of stuff done to suit. The body on this seems tough as, it's spent it's life going bush out west (330,000km) and has held together well. Once I have a plan I'll keep posting up changes.

Shorties can go pretty much anywhere and they have a brilliant turning circle. I am sure you will have lots of fun with this truck.

Very cool, I enjoy seeing different ideas. I like the swivel seats. I like a chair that I can tilt back and read in when the weather is nasty.

Cheers peeps,
Dan, the body is 3650mm long overall truck length from the front of the bullbar is 5650mm, not including the crazy wheel carrier and crane that's on it (as I'll be changing all that), width is 2000mm across the bulbar and the rest isn't really any wider. So close enough to the length of dual cab ute with bullbar and the width of a Y62 Patrol or maybe 200 series cruiser and 10% of their power haha.

Y62 Patrol or maybe 200 series cruiser and 10% of their power haha.

Add 20% Premium Unleaded, 200Ml Two Stroke, fit Nitrous to feed in at full throttle and it will have plenty of POWER to spare.
Now tell me it won't work and I'll probably tell you that a fellow I know ran the same mix in his 200 Series Cruiser and it had enough power to rip the rear diff to pieces and spit parts everywhere. This Cruiser used to run around Rockhampton and had a large wing on the back to aid traction.

Dan.
