The plan was to build a lightweight 4x6 trailer w a RTT on top and camp gear/tools/spare jeep parts underneath to be towed behind my Jeep on our rock crawling trips, hence the name Camp N Crawl.... well that grew into more of a basecamp trailer and we grew into more of the expo/camping style over the last few years.

Big Gurl put on on some pounds from original build so I swapped 3 Leaf 1500 lb springs for 4 Leaf 2000 lb springs and it still didn’t have enough clearance so this evening I axle flipped it. Now that it’s spring over there’s plenty clearance, it tows better and I think it looks better.

How do you like your Smittybilt RTT? I've seen them up close, and I thought they were nice.

I was skeptical knowing how their Jeep parts are known to have poor quality and paint finish but I’m very satisfied w the RTT. The Black Friday sale made it a even better value.

In heavy rain the rain fly overhangs need adjusted to keep the water from building up and the mattress isn’t that great, other than that no issues yet.

I need to come see you sometime and check out your trailer. I bought a rooftop tent to put on top of the xj for are Colorado trip and now I need to get it off the jeep. Killed my gas mileage and power, need to start a trailer like yours to put it on... Turned out great...
