campsite pics..lets see um

This is my best set up yet. But it's for a longer stay in one place which I normally don't like to do.

That's my buddy Jerry and his stock Zuk.

So...it goes.....

My truck.........

Jerry's Day Screen with tarp floor......

Jerry's Tent.......

Jerry's Zuk.........

I sleep in my truck so I pull it up just under the edge of the day screen to help keep the dew or rain out of my truck. My tailgate becomes a table for the day screen area.

This is way too overdone for me. Normally I just stop at the end of the day at the best place I can find....sleep in my truck....then head out the next morning when I'm ready. But because of this...I can pack up and be off in under 5 min.
Excellent Set Up. You are most Welcome for sharing your great experience.

Some camps: June 1965. From the distant past a beach camp at Point Sal on the Pacific Ocean, north of Vandenberg AFB, CA. The rig is a 1949 Willys Ute Wagon with Chevy V-8 power.

2017 pic in a remote canyon in Death Valley:

Waiting for the tide to go out to get to our 'hidden' beach south of Bahia Gonzaga on the Gulf of California, Baja 1973. We just laid on the sand on top of light sleeping bags, tailgating for meals.

The tide was finally low enough to enter, with 3 spare tires and 78 gallons of Pemex:

accoutrements in camp were a rubber boat with spear fishing gear

Mexican cuisine: our private party beach was behind Dick and Dean:

skin diving next to our camp: The water temperature in September was 88f degrees

Those old pics are awesome. Bet you wish you still had the rigs and gear.
