Chevy Silverado Dirtymax Build

Ordered some tires before we went camping and they arrived a couple days later. I went with 305/70/17 Toyo AT2s in an E rating. So far they ride smother than the BFGs I had before, with slightly more road noise. But, that was to be expected with a more aggressive AT. Let's hope they last as long as advertised.

These arent that big of a jump from what I had before. The BFGs were 305/65/17, but they were almost bald.

I had to use the big boy lift at the local Navy auto hobby.

They fill out the wheel well a little better. I could probably fit 35s but I don't really have a need for 35s or 37s.

Awesome! Thank you for coming our way and helping out in the way you did. It was surely needed, and everyone seemed to have boots on the grounds when the need was most. It is slowly but steadily getting back to normal around here, and I look forward to normalization soon. I've been working for my 22nd night in a row here trying to get our Refinery up and running along with many many others. We are shooting for mid October, it can't come soon enough.

I'm a " flight mechanic" which is kinda like a crew chief. I fly in the back run radios and our FLIR camera. I am also qualified to run our hoist to deploy our swimmers and recover survivors.

So I blew another damn u-joint! So I took it to Chevy and I had to get a new driveshaft, with u-joint and yoke.

Had to get it all done right before I was going to drive to AZ to go quail hunting. It did dent my exhaust and fuel tank skid

Had a great weekend, and I average between 23-25mpg! Pretty pumped about that. I even saw as high as 28mpg doing 65mph on the country roads.

Stay tuned for some go fast goodies that should be arriving soon.....
