881 or 882 spring?

882. which is only 500 lbs. rated. Since the SAW's are 650 lbs, was worried it wouldn't be enough. Do have an ARB, but no winch...now back in snow country, thinking it might be a good idea of getting one, b-b-b-but I don't know...don't think I'll ever use it.

Notice the spring is wound tighter on the OME's. A lot stiffer too. Had the originals set for 2.5" lift...OME said 2.25-2.50" (didn't measure before) but they seem like it is closer to 3-4". I stood on the bumper jumped up and down, and they barely move. A winch is what, roughly 140 lbs? I am a "little" more than that. The 881's are 1.75-2" thought they might make the truck too stink bug, which it is (or was) already unloaded.

Though it is only $185 for the master rebuild kit for my SAW's, the heims don't like the deicer here, why went with the OME's instead of rebuilding my SAW's, that and I really don't hammer on the truck, the previous CO's are a bit over-kill. Assuming the OME's will be a little better in winter conditions too.

Don't you worry, those OME's will settle. As far as your unicorn dirt bike goes, the new Honda 450L looks very promising besides the fact you can't tune it.....it will be my 60 yo bike. I am currently 50 years old. Loading up the YZ250X in the am and headed to the MX track, I need to get some air. Gonna be a blast!

I rebuilt those SAW's 100K ago, (only 4 years ago) they sat up a bit high for a couple weeks then settled. I am not liking the angle my CV's are right now, getting a little high frequency vibration over 60 mph. If they don't settle to where I like them, will have to put different springs in.

Loving the Beta...the 300RR is damn near perfect for Idaho single tack. It was that or their 390. had couple 4T's from various manufactures in the past...great for the desert, but wasn't sure about the ST here. 3-Huney is real hard to beat. Loving the oil injection too. Seems like the carb is a lot less sensitive to temp and elevation changes. In fact...all I have had to do is fuss with the air screw and that is it.

With that investment you gotta keep the truck another 20 years now.

No doubt!

Oh, @phsycle has me looking at Rams now :D ...happened drive by the dealer tonight on the way home. They always have a couple AEV's sitting out front. Not that I am going to run out and buy one... ;)

Those are sweet! I just don't need anything that gnarly.

I like Klim's Ford. Those tube steps would have to go though, and make mine silver.

Ah, yes you do! Ok, maybe I do, for places I daydream about traveling to up North of the border. Total overkill, I know. Not to mention the cummins. That Ford is nice, too.

That AEV almost looks like a Sherp. Plus I don't need a step ladder. :D Can't imagine what the tires would cost on that thing, either.

Buddha.

Finally in expo white.
Those AEV's look nice but after doing ball joints on my father in law's truck this week in about ready to swear off Dodges forever.

This might fit you, Clutch...

That looks like a pain in the ass to load. With a trailer, the bikes practically load themselves.

You never really hear anyone complaining about parts failing on a Tundra, only complaint is the gas mileage. As I keep on eyeing my neighbor's and his 19' TT.

I have 882's wrapped around 5100's on my gen 1 taco. Even with a tube bumper and winch they ride really stiff and are a bit more lift than I was looking for.

I might have to get some 881's. Going to give it a month or so to see if they'll settle a bit. Hope I don't trash my CV's in the process, really don't like the angle they are at. I did those 4 years ago.

882s with an arb and which provide a lot of lift. I was always surprised how tall my 02 was parked next to other tacos. You know what doesn't have CV issues? Ram?
