Dangerous Twisting of Jacks When raising and Loading Alaskan 10 CO on my Ford Long bed

That would be my guess to ease setting up base camp while camping too.
Nailheads option would likely stay at home making the camper permanent on the road.
Those brackets do indeed stay at home, because that camper is on that truck permanently. Removing it would be a long multi-step process likely motivated only by the purchase of a new(er) Alaskan. It was not made to come off easily.

I like the ingenuity of both designs. I plan to build x-shaped cross bracing on the jacks for each side on my camper because all the movement is front to back. Side to side is pretty solid.

Apparently I haven't had it on the jacks in a long time given this pic is about 18 months old. But plan is just an x from the top of one jack to the bottom of the other. The attachment points will be on the white section only.

My cradle actually is permanently attached to the camper. The 4 flat/horizontal plates you see mount to where the original Atwood jackpots attached.
