EarthRoamer announced today that it has met all of Transport Canada’s requirements for importing 2008 and newer EarthRoamer XV-LT Xpedition Vehicles into Canada.
Dacono, CO (PRWEB) June 11, 2011

After months of rigorous testing and documentation, Bill Swails President and CEO of EarthRoamer has announced that 2008 and newer model year EarthRoamer XV-LT Xpedition Vehicles were found to be in compliance with all applicable Canadian Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (CMVSS) and meet all requirements of Canada’s Motor Vehicle Safety Act (MVSA) and can now be imported into Canada. The EarthRoamer XV-LT has been added to Transport Canada’s “List of Vehicles Admissible from the United States” and Canadian citizens now have the opportunity to own the world’s bestselling Xpedition Vehicle.

Swails has traveled extensively throughout Canada in EarthRoamer Xpedition Vehicles and understands the unique challenges that travelers to remote parts of Canada face. “Our Ford F-550 4x4 based EarthRoamer XV-LTs are purpose built four-wheel drive, “go-anywhere” campers specifically designed to transport passengers to remote locations and keep them comfortable once they reach their destination.” According to the EarthRoamer web site (http://www.earthroamer.com) EarthRoamer XV-LTs are designed to provide comfortable living quarters for extended periods of time without dependence on external electrical, water, and sewer hookups.

“The EarthRoamer XV-LT is a perfect match for exploring Canada’s vast remote natural areas and provides comfortable accommodations for all seasons including extreme cold winters and high rainfall coastal areas.” says Swails. “In fact, one EarthRoamer owner conducts extreme cold weather training in British Columbia and has camped comfortably in his EarthRoamer with outside temperatures dipping below -30 degrees Celsius.”

When asked about who buys EarthRoamer’s Xpedition Vehicles, Swails said the common theme among owners is a passion for exploring nature and wild places. “Many are photographers, writers, fisherman, cyclists, motorcyclists, boaters, pilots, off-road enthusiasts, and hunters. The list of EarthRoamer owner’s passions is endless,” says Swails, “but the one thing they all have in common is a youthful lust for life and an insatiable appetite for adventure.”

One intrepid couple literally drove their XV-LT completely around the world. Starting in Anchorage Alaska, Australian’s ******** and Pip Smith drove through Canada and the United States before shipping their vehicle to London. They then drove across Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan and Mongolia before shipping their XV-LT to Japan. After traversing Japan they traveled across the continent of Australia before returning to the United States and completing their journey at EarthRoamer headquarters in Colorado. The trip spanned 2 ½ years and the Smith’s drove more than 40,000 kilometers through 15 counties in their “around the world” expedition.

Tyler Tatro, EarthRoamer’s Director of Sales and Operations states that “EarthRoamer XV-LT’s are environmentally responsible campers that require no generator or propane and use solar power as a primary power source.” According to the EarthRoamer web site, EarthRoamer XV-LTs are constructed using a one piece molded composite camper body just like many expensive yacht hulls. Tatro explains, “The composite body utilizes a sandwich construction that consists of inner and outer layers of woven fiberglass roving with a marine-grade balsa core. The woven fiberglass roving provides high tensile strength and impact resistance, and the end-grain balsa core provides high compression strength resulting in a seamless, lightweight body that has unparalleled strength. We are unique in the industry” says Tatro, “It is very expensive to build camper bodies this way, but nobody builds a stronger, more weatherproof body. Our camper bodies are designed and built to last the lifetime of the owner and beyond,” says Tatro.

With the US to Canadian exchange rate being the most favorable for Canada that it has been in decades, and a vehicle ideally suited for Canada’s climate and terrain, EarthRoamer is expecting very strong sales into the Canadian market.
