Expedition Bed Advice, Need Help

Guys, its been a LONGGGGG time since Ive been on here but I could sure use some advice. Ive never had this much trouble with a build before. I found this all aluminum bed that was a service bed for an airport in the 70s. The bed is 8 ft long and the storage area is 3ft wide. I can't tell if this is the coolest bed ever or the ugliest thing you have ever seen. Obviously I would modify it but I sure couldn't find a bed for cheaper ($500). I like that I can store my tools locked up when traveling and having a full kitchen drawer setup with fridge all locked up. Its going on a 99F350 Crew Cab long bed. I would update the lights to LED flush mounts, maybe a rack up top or roof top tent. I just can't decide. Thoughts? Maybe someone here can photo shop it on a F350 CC? Its 9 hours from my house is the real hesitation but I think it could work awesome if pulled off right.

Might be cool- certainly unique!

Make your list of must haves and nice to have and then see if it can be worked in. That will help you decide.

Rack..something like a Leitner active, but would have to be custom for that probably. That method would allow for an rtt. Lighting for sure too.

Look over some of the Aussie flatbed on the net, it will give you some ideas.

This looks like a very cool project...hope to see more pics as you progress!
