Exploring the Offroad areas of Gorges State Park in North Carolina

I have long heard rumors of the 4WD trails accessible via Gorges State Park in NC. But there is so little info out there, we couldn't do a lot of route planning... we just had to go and explore, and be open to whatever we find. We had my 3rd Gen 4runner, another 4th Gen 4runner that my friend just got for his son, an awesome Jeep Cherokee, and an F150, and all the trucks did great. If you are coming from SC then you should try exploring the other side of the area that's supposed to be accessible via Mustard Ground Road. There is a lot on that side that's inaccessible from the Chestnut Mountain/Auger Hole Road side due to a gate at the NC/SC border.
