food scent protection from animals noses

would these work to keep animals from smelling my food? Any advice on this type of deterant would be appreciated. A friend of mine went camping and the raccoons were clawing at this tent to get to his food in the ice chest. It was at a campground where raccoons don't scare when they see a human. So I am trying to be proactive for when I go camping and hope to avoid this.

Do not store food of any kind in the tent will be a start. Do not keep cloths in the tent that you have cooked in is another good idea.

I keep all my food on the other end of were I am camping, in my truck or up in a tree. Up here we have Bear and you do not want to smell remotely like the steak you had for dinner when they are a round.

For raccoons in a city slicker camp area (fed by every human they have seen) I would just put my coolers and food in the truck.
