Frontrunner 20L can Spigot Mod

I've had these 2 Frontrunner cans for several years, and although I love the cans, the spigots never really worked as well as it could.

After pacing up and down the plumbing aisle at Home Depot, this was the fix I came up with.

I did get some 3/4" conduit nuts that fit perfect, make sure and put the teeth towards the spigot handle when you crank it on. With a little Teflon tape and a new 1" rubber O ring..it is finally a home run.

Its a quarter turn valve, and works great...it doesn't stick out any further than the original valve.

Clever solution. I go to Home Depot and before I know it, hours have gone by. Have you found a non "plastic taste" hose to attach to the spigot?

That looks great. I have seen a white drinking water supply hose at RV supply places. Maybe they don't have the plastic taste??

Thanks guys...I have not tried to hook up a hose yet, although I agree with Desert Dan in regards to the RV store as a decent supply option.

One thing I forgot was the pros and con's...

Pro's... Easy to turn, easy access

Con's.... Same as above..
