I'm starting to see LHD D90s with TDI engines for around $30k. However they are in SUPER nice drive-away shape. They "might" be worth it. Talking with various individuals locally, there is a demand for a "reliable" vintage 4x4 to keep at a mountain/lake house. Their budgets are typically in the $25-35k range. Considering the requirements, AKA work without much fuss, this would fit the bill.

So I would say for the restored/immaculate original condition, this is a benchmark.

That said, I wouldn't pay that...
