good week-end hunting

was good opening morning for Arkansas Muzzleloader Season (10\20\2018), we saw (Sally & I) quite few deer on the farm, 2 doe's right @ sunrise a young 5 point buck feeding on acorns & a nice 8 pointer working a rub line, which I took with my White Super 91 Muzzleloader in .504caliber.
The buck deer is 17" wide outside spread 8 pointer, that 496gr. Trashcan slug by Jeff Weedling thump'd him real hard & the shot placement couldn't be any more picture perfect.
This was a new buck I've seen on cameras around my farm.

Nice. I took a decent sized four point (for this area) Saturday morning twenty minutes after sunrise; I saw four does Saturday evening but it wasn't an antlerless day and I'd forgotten my doe tags. It was the first kill with my 6.8SPC; he dropped like a rock without even taking a step. I was actually shocked.

Very nice! Will be in AR in about a week for a WMA rifle hunt. It’s my fifth year being drawn, and fourth time to go.
