Hi all!
Just joined and wanted to say hi! We left the most populated state to move to one of the fastest growing towns in the US, surrounded by public lands and 5 national parks!
The little ones are getting to an age where they are wanting adventures with the Folks so we ended up getting what is mirthfully referred to around these parts as a "family wagon", an Econoline 350 15 passenger van. Will be documenting our light mods on the #vanlife subforum and our adventures with Los Niños here.
We will miss the front and rear ARB locked XJ (D44 rear end) that took us all over SoCal, AZ, NV, and Moab as we hope to find a good home for it with someone who can use it to fullest potential.
Our days of Rock crawling until someone blew up a differential and had to take the strap out are now behind us. Laughing heroically over beers while batterywelding mounts back on to the axle in the middle of the trail will be replaced with reclining in folding chairs watching the antics of the kids in the flickering amber hue of the campfire. A new kind of adventure for sure.
