I remember when I had to tow my Trooper on a car-dolly, I removed the rear drive-shaft and let the rear axle jut spin.

There is a school of thought in the LR community to put free-wheeling hubs on all four wheels. I've seen it with older Jeeps too.

I don't know how those RV's are flat-towing the Grand's, and even saw one towing a Hummer H1.
