There is probably space where the lighter socket is / sound jack is if that is your preference. You might go with one of these surface mount/chassis mount and do it up nicely. Just look through the accessories page for various options.. http://www.powerwerx.com/powerpole-...-powerpole-panel-mount-weather-resistant.html

Personally, I just run a cord up the side, and under the seats to get there, nobody has ever tripped on a cord, I put them under than mats anywhere they are exposed. Whatever your personal preference is, and works for you..

I did the whole Traxide install on our LR4, moved the TCM no issues. There is a nice write up on landroverworld.com. I got the extra rear port and an anderson connector for the solar panel. Took a it half a day but I removed all the interior trim I could to run wires. I also put in a blue sea fuse block and ran wire to the passenger side for the fridge port and the HAM radio under the passenger seat. I also swapped the stock passenger cig lighter port for a blue sea dual USB port. Pretty straightforward but time consuming. I haven't had any issues in a year. Nice work! Do you have a direct link to the write-up on the install with the relocation of the TCM module etc.? Thanks.

Perfect, thanks - ordered plugs, sockets, etc. Eventually, I am hoping to mount a solar panel on the roof rack to charge the secondary battery and run the fridge when vehicle is parked at camp.

As our trip to White Rim Road is getting closer (early April) I finally got time to install the Traxide dual-battery kit. I had some difficulty finding the spare empty grommet in the firewall, but with the help of folks here, unseenone among others, I found it. Additionally, I realized that by removing the harness guide at the top right of the brake booster I could get my hand and tools on the grommet, which made it possible to properly re-seat the grommet after putting the power wire for the back through it. The wire guide is held on with a single bolt. Removing it requires cutting 2 zip-ties, but new ones are easily put back at re-install.

Thanks for the pointer here to Anderson connectors from Powerwerx! With the Powerwerx crimping tool the connectors come out beautifully every time. My National Luna fridge has an Anderson socket, and I ended up installing a dual Anderson socket in the back right corner of the car, and a dual Anderson socket at the lower part of the B pillar. Each location also has a new dual USB power socket. I made a new power cord for the fridge with Anderson connectors at both ends. The fridge is powered from the Anderson socket at the B-pillar. The position of the dual-plug at the B-pillar has to be precise to fit into the recess next to the seatbelt roll-up.

To relocate the transfer case module I followed Umberto's example. For the rear dual-plug I followed unseenone's example from here: http://www.disco3.co.uk/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=21899

Some pics below of B-pillar and rear dual-plugs.

A few pics of the secondary battery. I went with an Optima Yellow Top 34, not the 34/78, as I didn't want the power poles on the side, as it already looked tight...

The Traxide kit is nicely done, but it can be tedious and tricky at times with access, making it a bit of a pain to install...

I also installed the quick release mounting plate for the National Luna and put together the power cord with Anderson plugs - the cord can also be seen plugged into the B-pillar output on a previous picture.

A good friend with an LR3 and a Frontrunner Outfitters roof rack let me "steal" his dual jerry can holder for the roof rack. With a few small modifications it fits perfectly on my Land Rover roof rack :)

I know, diesel jerry cans... the only diesel LR4 in the country ;)

Spend two weeks cruising around in one in South Africa. Torque is amazing.

I like the fact you used the angle mount on the connectors. Once you do it that way, it makes total sense. It looks great.

We started building our rear tire carriers, using the ultra spindle from AZ Fabrication, some parts from Comp4x4, and some home made designs.

First step is to locate spindle on bumper cover and drill through with a pilot drill to mark location on steel structure for proper location of the spindle. Next step is to remove bumper cover and cut steel bumper for welding on the spindle. It is important to get the spindle completely vertical.

Next step was to get cut-out in bumper cover for the metal plate that will have the receiving hole to lock the carrier in the open position, so that it doesn't swing around and hit the car or rear tail gate when open. This also allows for small cut from back of bumper to hole to facilitate easy removal of the bumper cover with rear tail gate in place! This cut is barely visible when pad is in place on top of bumper cover.

With the spindle in place, welding up the main parts of the tire carrier can begin. We used level and degree-meter extensively to get everything level. The main lower part of the carrier has a distance of 1/2" to the pad on the bumper cover, and the main upright fits under the wiper. This allows for the tire carrier to close very close to the rear hatch.

Got a few hours in today, welded on reinforcement pieces, Land Rover M14 1.50 studs, and test fitted on car for mark up of latching mechanism.
