Lunette ring?

Is the ring supposed to be totally round? The one on the trailer I bought has the front lower half ground flat at an angle. If not, can I rotate it to place the flat on top? Thanks

Thanks, exactly what I thought and will do.

Weld it then shape it. have fixed a bunch of these. that ring is stronger than you think.

You definitely don't want the flat side downwards. It wont position correctly on the Hitch

Once my space is cleared where the just sold camper is, the truck is out of the garage to there and the trailer goes in for teardown. I don't need to use it until then and the ring will get flipped upon reassembly.
