Here is mine, although not in McCall Id at the moment, it was used as a "home base" when we built our house up there.

We will soon be parting ways as it's time to downsize.

The Fuso not the house.

Saw this truck at SEMA. Two wheel drive truck converted to 4x4. Very long wheelbase. Seemed more for show than go.

Hi all, long time reader, first post etc. Just (sort of) finished our fg, its a 92 fg434. It's slow and steady but love it! We'll be anywhere between Sydney and Perth between now and next year, tassie in Feb, give us a hello if you see us out!

I'll attempt at pics, lord only knows if it'll work!

Unfortunately the mog isn't ours!

PS I'm wanting to switch to singles but pricey! I've noticed on a few older ones like mine that many people just ditch the inner rears and run standard rims with 255 100 xzl. Is this recommended? Would save me $2.5k worth of new rims (which I really would rather spend on diesel and grog!) cheers, Dan

Hi Dan,
Currently in Perth travelling this great Country in a FG434 Canter. I have a set of 19.5" singles sitting back in Melbourne if you are interested.

Cheers,
Neil

Hi fugly, got a couple of pictures, we're on the road now so it's getting a little untidy in there! It's basically a campervan, got 2 Engels, smev 2 burner, 2 4kg gas bottles underneath, sink, 80l fresh tank and pump, drains straight through the floor, under the bed are 2 large drawers (wardrobes) and more storage under the seats, also there's a "boot" which is also under the bed with a door outside. We made it all at home so it's not showroom great but its alright and does the job. Mechanical wise it's a 4d31 3.3l which someone's turbo'd at some point, got a second tank with a transfer pump for fuel, its slow, happy cruising speed is 85, but I'm not in a hurry anyway!

Cheers, hopefully the pictures work.

I'm very interested in the pre-maid camper mounted on the fuso route.
Just wondering if I could do the 19' Scamp?
Anyone know how much would hang off the back?
Other than departure angle, anyone see any problems I might run into?
I could build really nice storage where the hitch would normally go.

Thanks for your thoughts,

John

I believe the long wheelbase FGs are spec'ed for up to a 16' 'body length'. Here are helpful links to the Fuso 'Body Builder Drawing and Support apart 1 & 2'
