Mounting MV-50 air comp

I just have mine in the sack it comes in under the seat or under my platform I built. I ended up wiring a connector in the back that comes out behind the rear rollbar mount in the back passenger side. I cut the MV's power line and added in a weather pack connector. So for my front tires I just use the battery clamps, and the rear I disconnect the clamps and use the connector in the back. I also have the connector on a relay wired to a switch on the A pillar.

I've also thought about trying this way of mounting it behind the passenger tail light (post 383):

Springtail Side Racks would provide plenty of room.

You could mount it in a Springtail Side rack.

These side racks are very nice! The designer did a great job on them.

This Jeep has a Puma PD1006 mounted for OBA, so the MV50 stays in the bag with a set of screw on deflators and a tire gauge, as a back-up/share. Here is what it would look like in the Side Rack, with the hose stuffed underneath.

And a shot of the Puma, just for size reference. If the tank was remote mounted the Puma would fit right over top of the side rack, so the rear seat could still be used.

That might just work too.... I like those, thanks for sharing.
