Day 2 . We made it to humboldt county ( weed capital of USA ) it was a beautiful drive right by the ocean , slow drive max speed in some turns is 15 mph
11 pm at night we pulled in front of best western hotel , 4 miles before the hotel there was this amazing looking building , that said BEMBOW, while I was in the lobby of best western looking for the room , Karla searched BEMBOW and it came out to be this amazing 1927 build 4 star hotel
We had to turn around and go see her , it was defiantly worth the stay
Very classy place very nice restaurant , patio and all
Best western was 230$ a night and BEMBOW was 190, world of difference in class and location ,

Day 3 was a late start, around noon we got back on the road headed to San Francisco , over Golden Gate Bridge towards redwoods national park
Wow is the right word for those giant trees , some trees are 400 ft tall and huge , we hiked 4 miles deep in the rain forest to see what every day coastal fog and rain can create , trees are right by the coast on the beginning of the trail there are tsunami warnings and even a structure to climb up for emergency ,

10 pm we were enjoying the camp fire the sound if the waves of pacific

Hope you enjoy your adventure. We basically did the same drive this summer.....San Diego to Oregon...so many cool places to see.

Thank you ;) it really is a nice drive , but the problem is it's so nice it makes u wanna stop even half a mile and it takes 4 days to finish the highway alone

We are in a little town 100 miles south west of Portland , brakes on the cruiser started to make noise I guess rear brakes are all worn out , we found a shop , he is changing it right now

Nice trip. When I was a kid my folks took me up the west coast twice on our travels. Hope I can do it again soon.
