Housing situation forces sale. 1979 VW Transporter (Bus). Originally 7 passenger, converted for camping and modified for my preferences. Name is Ducky. $7000.
The good:
~66k miles. Original GE code 2.0l EFI motor. 30a PWM solar controller. 83Ah FLA house battery. Separate house fuse panel. 150a charge relay. 100w IC spot lights. 24w LED floods front and rear. Extended deck for sleeping. Achilles Desert Hawk. KBY Excel-G shocks. Sink with pump. LED interior lighting. 800w inverter. 115v shore power outlets. 2m 65w Regency Ham radio (vintage). 1500lb winch with remote controller. New rotors, calipers, wheel cylinders, shoes\pads, soft & hard brake lines, MC, fuel lines, injector seals, fuel pump (converted to commonly available Ford pump and filter), all window seals, windshield, powered washer pump, alternator harness, voltage regulator, split charge relay, rebuilt SVDA distributor, TS2 bypass, CHT gauge, dual ammeters, tach. Includes original back & middle seats. 5 spare rims with BFGs (good for short use spares, they have been NLA for almost a decade). Auxiliary USB and 12V outlets, 110v shore power, Coleman 2brner stove, trip bag with common spare parts (cap, rotor, points, coil, fuel line, fuel pump, a couple of filters, clutch and accelerator cables, fan\alt belt, etc.), solid front and rear torsion housings. Header with generic Walker muffler ($18 replacement instead of $400 for NOS). If you scratch or dent it, who cares?

The bad:
Not a straight panel on it. Has rust repair done on just about every panel, some bubbling on the slider, inside bottom of front doors sketchy. Paint is TSC implement paint, peeling in spots, runs, orange peel. Nose has waves. Ancient Audiovox cassette deck works when it wants to. Lower speedo cable broken (NLA, sourcing good used and should have in a week or so), been using an old iPhone as speedometer. No heat (goes without saying for a VW but putting it out there anyway). Homemade interior and I'm not a carpenter. Top speed of about 65mph, hang on, you will eventually get there. Auxiliary wiring really needs some organization, grommets used but it looks kinda messy. Replacement windshield has blue band on the top, not a problem for me at 5'2" but might be if you are a foot taller.

In all honesty, it is a 42 year old VW, runs great and is a lot of fun, but it is what it is. Have had it out camping a few times this year with no issues, but if wanted to drive it from Maine to Oregon, I'd make sure to have AAA just in case. Located in Albany TWP in northwestern Maine. Can email scottjswenson at gmail, contact me here on EP, text six zero three - seven six seven - eight six four three.

Not in the mkt, definitely a great platform if you're into vw... if no interest here
Maybe try the samba... imo, price too low
Good luck
