Overland Expo West Rigs and trip reports

Hi Guys,

Every year I try to go to overland west, but life gets in the way. Hopefully, some of you guys that make it there can post pics of some of the cool rigs in attendance for those of us that are stuck at home.

Personally I have never been and dont have a strong desire to go. I do like looking at the pics of all the cool rigs, gadgets and whatnot. My offroad time is so limited these days that I just cant bring myself to intentionally travel to where the crowd is, though.

The best rig at the show. 2018 Adventure Truck/Global Expidition. It was so ************** we bought it. It goes back to there shop in Missouri for a few add ons. Once its ready we fly back for a week of training and then head home to Southern California.

That is a great looking truck, but there appears to be something wrong with the fridge. Appears to be filled with water and what might be some not-milk type product, or maybe coconut water. You better get some beer in there; I'm pretty sure beer is required for a refrigerator to function properly.

And did I mention, that is a great looking truck.

I actually bought some chowder from the Maine Lobster Lady once when they had their truck outside work a couple of years ago.

That is a nice rig, but if money was no object, I would buy the Earthroamer they had on display, my wife even approved.

I’ve seen these before and they are amazing, however I’m just confused as to where you would drive them except on roads. They seem incredibly large for most off highway and off-road travels. Are these meant more for open desert? Where will you be taking this new rig once you officially pick it up?
