RTT Hard Cover....Failure!

After three versions of a hard cover for my Smittybilt RTT, I've decided that it simply isn't going to work out as planned.

I documented all three versions with pictures and videos on my web page and the conclusion.

Have you seen the Bunduflip tent or Ikamper X-cover

I think with a few modifications you're almost there. I've thought about making something similar to the version 2 you had. Use the platform as the cover and just have swing down sides (similar to Bunduflip), but on all 4 sides. Have the sides hinge downward instead of sideways, and make them out of stiff plastic or even heavy PVC material like the original cover. With a few wide velcro flaps on the corners it could fairly weater resistant. For me personally, the cover doesn't have to be absolutely waterproof since it won't be submerged in water, just water resistant enough to shed rain.
