Our decommissioned 2010 Ford E450 ambulance is outfitted with all the creature comforts you could ask for.
  • A new Espar D2 diesel park heater will keep you warm in the back on the coldest nights, and that heat will stay in place within the insulated walls.
  • A couch-to-double bed conversion takes up one side of the box, while leaving ample space for cooking, a home office desk, or board games on the counter top across the aisle.
  • A deep sink with an electric water pump feeds off of 7gal camp jugs and will erase your camping dish wash nightmares at a touch of the faucet.
  • A comfortable seat and fold out desk / table in the camper for working or eating.
  • Plenty of storage inside and out includes a full size board locker for skis, snowboards, or surfboards. It’s upright locker is deep enough to fit a 24" wide surfboard and tall enough to fit skis.
  • Ample lighting inside and out will allow you to work (or play) after the sun goes down.
  • A master switch allows you to operate all box electronics while the car is off, like the ceiling vent van you’ll want to use when you have to cook inside on rainy days.
  • There is a walk through passage from cab to box, four seat belted seats (two captains chairs in the cab, two additional seats in the back), and a full height closet for hanging up wet or dry gear inside.
We have thought of so many details to make this machine into a car campers dream— you’ll only be limited by your own travel imagination.

Here are the details for the vehicle:
  • 2WD, 2010 Ford E450 diesel ambulance, with 143,038 miles
  • “Bullet proofed” Ford 6.0 Diesel engine
  • New brakes, calipers, and rotors
  • Six new four season Cooper tires

Located in West Tisbury, MA 02575, on Martha's Vineyard.

Asking price reduced from $35,000 to $27,000. Offers considered. In need of cash for a construction project.

Nice work! This looks really neat. What mattress are you using there? And also how comfortable is it in the couch position?

Thanks! It’s the Lucid 4” bamboo charcoal mattress you can get on Amazon. It’s nice.

The couch is comfortable, but it’s not as deep as a standard couch. It’s very comfortable using it as a chaise lounge. The mattress folds into the couch position nicely, even in the cold.
