I am selling a new and never used MSR Mutha Hubba 3-Person Backpacking Tent and an MSR Mutha Hubba Footprint (ground cloth) for the tent. Neither have been used, although the tent was set up one time without the fly on my lawn for about 15 minutes to be sure I knew how to do it. Includes tent, fly, poles, emergency pole repair sleeve, stakes, Footprint and all included storage sacks that came from the factory. Cascade Designs links for these products are as follows:

http://cascadedesigns.com/msr/tents...utha-hubba-/-mutha-hubba-hp-footprint/product

The reason for selling is that our camping philosophy has changed, so we no longer need a ground tent that we'll never use.

Asking price for the two items together is $325 plus shipping. They are located in the Atlanta, GA area, if you want to pick them up.

Excellent for backpacking, I've taken it on 100+km hikes. Only weighs about 6 lbs. Can't say enough good things about these tents. I paid like $500 for mine, this is a steal.

Would this be good for backpacking? Or more of a car camping tent? What part of atl are you in?

MSR says it is a backpacking tent. To me, it's on the upper weight limit for backpacking, but doable.

I'm in Duluth, Gwinnett County.

I usually split the tent and the poles up between me and who ever I'm hiking with to help with the individual weight. Works great.
