1983 Jeep CJ5 $27,500 (LAKE TAHOE, NV)

Milage 38,876

I am the third owner of this amazing example of a tastefully upgraded 1983 CJ5 with 38K original miles. I have owned this little gem since 2009. My goal was to turn it into a reliable weekend car camping rig for my woman and myself. It has served us well over the years never leaving us stranded and taken us all over the state. Only reason I’m selling it is because we had a son and need more room for our weekend adventures. I have more photos but these were the only ones that weren't loading sideways.

Will consider trade for a clean Cessna 140 with 0-200 or Kitfox 4 with 912.

Custom Work:
Custom Rally Hard Top $2,200
Warrior Safari Roof Rack $600
New Front Bumper with KC High Lights $ 225
Rock Hard 4x4 Rear Bumper with tire swing arm $1,050
Crager white Wheels $417
Rancho 2” liftkit $600
Blue Tooth Stero $360
Holley EFI $4,700
White Knuckle Offroad Sliders $700
Tuffy Speaker Lockbox $300
Best Top Soft Top $880
Ceramic Coating Paint and Detail $1,500

I have the original soft top and doors as well as the back seat. The back seat wont fit in the Jeep with the hardtop on. The Jeep has a clean NV title and is located in Lake Tahoe, NV.

Would really like to see a few more photo's if the Jeep is still for sale. PM me for a number to text them to if that works better for you.

Very nicely built Jeep! We are hunting for a small overland vehicle and really like the simplicity of the older Jeeps. Thanks for posting up the extra photo's!

Thanks! You just found one of the smallest overland jeeps ever. CJ5's are small for sure.
Try CJ2, CJ3, M38, Samari.......... there are hundreds smaller, some are still built today, just not in "Supersize Me America".

This one comes up for sale periodically. The 3000 mile distance is discouraging but one would think the Corvette 327 Fuelie would over come that obstacle.

YES !!! THE CJ5 opening this thread is gorgeous. $27K is fair if you have it. Under $20K would be a steal.

That is a beautiful CJ5! Ours is a 1964 with 4,500 miles. 3rd Generation owner and my son is next! The absolute most fun vehicle in our shed.

Hope someone who appreciates these scoops it up!
