You're definitely going to generate some envy with that unobtanium (USA) truck.

We have 8 of the worlds deadliest snakes here in Australia, I suppose getting the LandCruiser is some kinda karma.......:sombrero:

Overlanding is going massive over there, love the products coming out of the USA for the community.

Shoot, I'd take snakes if that gets a 79! Here in New England we only have 3 poisonous snakes, and they are seldom if ever seen. We do have regular blizzards, occasional hurricanes, and rare tornadoes, doesn't that get us something?

Build update:

I have installed my winch electrics which were not fitted by the dealer or TJM who put the Bullbar on.

New was the install of the spot lights and driving lights.

The ARB compressor was next, I had to fabricate a bracket to mount it under the bonnet, fully wired in with dash mounted switch.

Then a secondary fuel filter and diff / gearbox breathers.

The design of the camper module subframe is almost ready for fabrication.

Watch this space and sign up to my you tube channel for more details of the build.

Till next time. see you later.

Love the Australian word for "hood". Makes me think of:

I have started fabrication of the custom subframe that the camper body will sit on.

Constructed from RHS and SHS steel it will be fixed to the Toyota Chassis and will be the platform for the camper module I ma going to be starting in a few weeks.

The frame is all tacked up and ready for welding out this week.

Part one of the construction is in the video I have just uploaded.

Part two is in production and will be uploaded later this week.

Hi, another video update.

The sub-frame is fabricated and the welding was finished last night, I need to fit lights, mud guards and flooring.

It can then go off for powder coating, the living cell can then begin.

Trying to decide on the final construction, I am leaning towards aluminium composite panels with XPS foam core in a sandwich with aluminum box frame to reinforce the structure.

As anyone completed a similar project using the same methodology?
