TV\DVD combo 12 V or 120V

Hey guys. Just planning for the 550 build. Wife wants a TV/DVD combo. I will have a Xantrex pure sine wave inverter in the truck with enough capacity to run the TV with the few lights I'll have and the furnace when required. Only other draws will be phone chargers etc. Both the 12 volt and 120 versions draw about 30 watts. Is there advantage to having a strictly 12 volt unit. When we're hooked to shore power it won't make a difference.
thoughts?

Anything you can do to take the load off the inverter will help. The inverter is not 100% efficient so you will encounter additional draw from battery vs just using battery powered devices.

I know I'm a little behind the times here but check out Majestic tv's. 12v and made for the rv environment with built in dvd. Be prepared to crack that wallet open wide though.
