Built, not bought!
Hey everyone, Im new here. The name is Evan. Lots of great rigs here!! I recently purchased a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee (WK) that im slowly building up. Im a huge fishing, camping, and sking fan so i need a rig that can get me there.
Current mods:
2in rough country lift
Monroe load leveling shocks
265/70-17 cooper discoverer at3
BORA wheels adapters
Rola roof rack
Putco window vents
Painted rims

Here are a couple pics from when i first got it.

I then installed a Rough Country 2in Lift. But unfortunetly was to broke to get tires at the same time.HA! I also removed the front air deflector to give it a little better clearance up front.

shortly after getting the lift I decided to take it out for a little trip to family farm in eastern Colorado. Nothing very technical but always a great time!!

My pops ST. He is slowly building up his rig too!

So after researching a ton on good AT tires and saving I decided to get a set of Cooper's new Discoverer AT3's in 265/70-17. Great tire very minimal road noise, but a lot of traction on wet, snow and gravel/rock.

I then returned to the farm to test everything out, the WK did great. The lift and tires are a huge improvement, both looks and performance. Jeep should have made the grand cherokee this way in the first place.

thanks everyone for the welcome. I have tons more pics and a few more current mods to show off, just need to find the time to get them up...

forsaken: I love AEV's WK. pretty sure that anyone that owns a WK has a goal of getting it to the level of the one that AEV built!

Scootr: hows it going? great to see another Jeepforum WK member on here. just found this forum about a week ago. great info!!

Hey BAH, great to see you over here too!!

So after getting the tires on i really started to notice that the rear was sagging. So i decided to get the WK a set of the Monroe Load Levelers for an F-150. These are coil over shocks that are about 2in longer than stock, and have been found on other WK forums to provide about an 1 1/4in lift in the rear on Grand Cherokees. I also decided to pick up a Rola Roof Basket with the extension, and a set of Putco window wind deflectors! Love the stance now!!

thanks Black ZJ, the color is one of my favorite parts too!

First real trip after all the mods was a simply "test everything" trip. I drove up to Nederland and out to Rollins pass... very easy but still an awesome drive. This is back at the beginning of this summer.

Back at the end of July I took the longest trip i have so far with the WK. Drove up to Manitoba, Cananda. Spent a week on lake Dauphin fishing, hiking, and playing on the lake. Was an awesome get away. We also did a night of camping in North Dakota and South Dakota on the way back home! I need to get better at taking pics of scenery and not just the WK, but here is what i have.

Hey Guys, so I went for a couple day trips this long weekend. Hung out around the Apex and Eldora area with my pops. Weather was great, around 65 above timber line. Was an awesome weekend!!
