Zanethan’s Xterra S Build

I was big into the off-roading scene in my younger days but moved to the more speed and street scene when I moved to a larger city. Well my brother in law has always been into Jeeps and I decided to get back into the off-roading scene. I decided to take the plunge last fall and after lots of research picked up a 2011 Xterra S 6MT with 122k on the clock, dubbed Ellie. It was originally intended to just be a toy but has quickly grown on me and is now my daily driver. It was also supposed to be a rather slow build over the course of years but here I am one year later with 90% of what I wanted to do completed. My intent was to create a mild build that will he used for weekend camping and road trips. I still have some details I want to add but like I said the major things have been done.

Day I brought her home

First minor mod. Known as the magic button on the newx forum. It essentially disables the traction control system entirely.

Now we’re into it! First major mods painting the plastics, replacing shocks, and adding a 1.5” lift in the front.

More details on the winch if you would.

What did you use to paint your bumper?

Bumper was painted with Rustoleum spray on bedliner.

Winch is a Smittybuilt X20 10,000 lb mounted to a WAM hidden winch mount. Custom wiring and controls via the attached diagram. I have in cabin, wireless, and wired controls.

Thanks!

It’s a Voodoo Tactical bag with a pieced together basic first aid kit and a few emergency blankets. Fits perfectly.
