Description: This is a 2007 GMC Sierra Classic 2500HD Ext. Cab SLT, with a 6.0L V8 and manual transmission. We purchased the truck bone stock in 2011. Over the course of five years the main upgrades included extra fuel tank, custom straight axle swap, 37x12.5R16.5 tires on double beadlock HMMWV rims, NV4500 5-speed manual transmission swap with low granny gear, and manual shift NP261HD transfer case. Feel free to scroll through our ExPo Build Thread for the catalog of the project. The truck was built for off-road travel in mind and competed in numerous Nevada Trophy rallies. The truck will do anything from rock crawling, general trail riding, and cruising down the freeway at 80 mph without issue. Has 169,000 miles. Average fuel mileage is around 10-12 mpg. Full details can be seen in the post below or on the build thread of the truck. It has been a west coast truck all its life so is completely rust-free. We have recently moved back to Minnesota from living in Winnemucca, NV for five years so it still has a Nevada title.

Price: $18,500 O.B.O. (willing to negotiate within reason)

Known Problems: There are a few issues mainly concerning dash lights with the ECU. The new front axle doesn't have ABS sensors, although they can be machined on. The hubs need 40 pin ABS rings machined on the inner ring and ABS sensors welded to the 6-bolt spindles. The ABS connectors on the vehicle are still in place and ready to be put to use once again, however the ABS and parking brake light are illuminated on the dash. Another issue is the 4x4 system has some components missing due to the removal of the front stock axle and the automatic push button transfer case. This causes the 4x4 light to illuminate on the dash. This can be fixed through computer programming of the ECU. Finally, the check engine light is on because of the clutch pedal sensor is not hooked up into the automatic computer. This causes an error in the starting system of the computer. The truck starts with no issues, however there is no clutch safety switch as a result. Also the emissions charcoal canister is throwing a code, common on NBS GM trucks from 99 to 07.

Thanks adventr. It worked well for what we used it for in Nevada. We are selling the truck because we are leaving the country for a couple of years and won't be using it. We are taking our motorcycles through cental and south america. We would rather see it get used how it was intended instead of just sitting under a tarp because its such a versatile truck.

Just an update, if you read this before, i had the truck on craigslist, but all i've received were scams (usual for craigslist), so we took it down and now its only for sale here and in Bemidji Minnesota.

To add some information in case anyone is interested in the details, its a bit long winded but theres good information in case you don't want to read through 30 pages of my build thread.

I'm asking $18,500 O.B.O. I am willing to negotiate within reason. 169,xxx miles.
It has been a west coast truck all its life so is completely rust-free. We have recently moved back to Minnesota from living in Winnemucca, NV for five years so it still has a Nevada title.

Modifications:
- Warn 8274 spur gear winch (1981 model), mounted on hitch receiver mount for front or rear use (truck wired with 1/0 wire for front or rear winch use with 350-amp anderson power pole connections) 150' steel 5/16 cable rated at 8,000 lbs.
- ARB front bumper with locking hitch mount for winch.
- Lightforce 240 XGT 100w halogen long range driving lights
- Custom front axle, GM 10.5" 14 bolt differential with gov-lock 80 carrier, 3.5" O.D. 0.5" thickness axle tubing (driver side offset differential), Dana 70 kingpin inner C's, Dana 60 kingpin knuckles, D60 spindles, D60 Hubs with 1-ton D60 brakes with trunion style brake calipers and caliper brackets. 35-spline outers, Spicer u-joints, Hudlow 30-spline inner axle shafts. Gearing set at 4.88. Gears and new bearings all swapped in and set up professionally by Fry's Machining in Winnemucca, NV.
- Three-link passenger side upper front suspension. 2"x0.25" wall DOM tubing with 1.25" threaded ends. Front joints from Ballistic Fabrication with rubber bushes, frame side joints EMF solid joints. Axle brackets and frame side brackets all custom built with 0.25" steel plate. Coilovers 12" travel 2.5" Fox dual rate with 12" 450 rate bottom spring and 14" 450 rate upper spring. Valving 90/60 compression rebound (stiff valving). Spring rates provide with a softer ride for rock crawling with 5" up travel and 7" down travel. Total wheel travel around 18" from full drop to full bump. Sway bar detachable for increased wheel travel and better highway travel.
- Steering high steer kingpin mounted with high angle 1-ton ball joints. Both drag link and tie rod are 1.5"x0.25" DOM tubing. Steering deflection increase from ~28 degrees to 33 degrees, slightly tighter turning radius than stock. Hydraulic assist steering with 1.5" 10" throw hydraulic piston powered from the stock GM steering box. Hydraulic lines and fittings on both ends.
- Full rock sliders and skid plates mounted direct to frame. Front fender guards mounted from rock-sliders to ARB bumper. Skid plates angled from bottom of frame to rock sliders with mud and water drain holes on skids. Rock sliders have 3 mount points to frame.
- Skid plate for main fuel tank (26-gallon).
- Rear suspension stock leaves with shackle flip, stock overload spring removed and a thinner add a leaf installed for smoother ride. Axle bracketry rotated to maintain stock u-joint geometry for rear driveline. Rear shocks Fox 2.5" coilover (without coils). Rear brakes and axles stock. 10.5" 14 bolt stock rear end. Gearing changed from 4.10 to 4.88. New bearings and gears set up professionally by Fry's Machining in Winnemucca, NV.
- Rear fuel tank added with custom bracketry and new frame stiffening bracing. Tank is a 30-gallon from a 90's jimmy with fuel gauge sender and separate fuel gauge in cab. Fuel transferred with an EZ-8 8 gal-per-min fuel pump suitable for gasoline to main tank (allows for fill-ups of other vehicles as well).
- Rear bumper custom built with lower protection for rear 30 gallon fuel tank. Has Hi-Lift jack points and tug eyelets. Planetary winch ready. Two bumper light holes for extra rear lighting. No step indent due to winch mount. Flat top for easy stepping on bumper.
- Roof rack built into bed rack. Will hold multiple tires on top of roof. Also has four bed lights mounted, four side lights, and six front lights for 360-degree lighting while off road at night. Lights are Cree 9 LED lights 25 watt per light (cheap but bright).
- Soft tonneau cover from another truck fitted to the bed with an extension piece of steel and some tie down loop holes. Numerous tie down loop holes welded in bed for strapping down various loads, such as tool bins, spare tires, motorcycles, etc.
- Over engine brace for coilover mounts. Extra fluid capacity for hydraulic assist steer. Dual separated batteries, one for starting and some accessories, one for winch and rest of accessories. Dual separated alternators for each battery.
- Electrical fuse and relay panel for accessories from Waytek wiring. Mini fuses and relays for alt. fuse panel.
- Manual NV4500 swapped in place of stock 4L80E transmission. After axle swap, we had issues with the stock transmission and so swapped to the manual to remedy the issues. We also swapped from the NP263HD transfer case to the NP261 transfer case to reduce the electronic associated with the 4WD system. The NP261 we received was missing the input planetary bearing snap ring which didn't allow the system to stay in 4x4 low. We refreshed the whole transmission with new snap rings and swapped in the HD internals from the NP263HD transfer case to the NP261 housing to increase the strength factor. Also the front slip yoke was swapped out for a Northwest Fabrication slip yoke eliminator kit to run a slip shaft.
- The rear driveline was custom built from 5" aluminum because we needed to lengthen it 6" due to the shorter NV4500 transmission. New Spicer u-joints on both ends. Stock slip shaft transfer case output retained.
- Front driveline custom steel slip shaft with double cardin joint at transfer case and single u-joint at axle. New u-joints on both ends.
- Exhaust completely re-done with stock manifolds and new mounting hardware. Exhaust built by myself from full stainless 2.5" tubing until merging into 1 3.5" stainless pipe exiting in front of right rear tire through the bed side above the rock slider. Boral muffler, dual 2.5" exhaust baffles to reduce noise throughput and build slight back pressure for smoother engine response.
- 24 bolt HMMWV rims. 8x6.5" bolt pattern (standard GM before '07). Used military BFG Baja 37x12.50R16.5 tires. Rims are bolt together and have a large PVC piece that squish the beads on each side creating a double beadlock rim.
- Wheel spacers from wheeladapter.com. Front 1.5" spacers 8x6.5" to 8x6.5". Rear spacers 2.5" 8x6.5" to 8x6.5". The spacers are milled out of steel with lug centric lug nuts (standard on GMs) and hub centers sized for the HMMWV rims.

There are a few issues mainly concerning dash lights with the ECU.

Extras:
- D60 kingpin parts: top caps, springs, bushings, etc. . .
- Extra springs for coilovers (two 650 rate springs 12" long, and two 400 rate springs 14" long)
- Light-duty NBS front brake caliper brackets for D60 60 bolt spindles
- 2 spare 24 bolt HMMWV rims same as listed above (both with tires mounted)
- 1 extra tire BFG Baja 37x12.50R16.5 tire.
- Traction boards for off road use (homemade 2x12 with 3/8" bolts)
- Original 4.10 gears
- Oil Filters and some extra maintenance parts

Cheers,

Ehren
