Here are some progress pics....It's going very well at this point. Having driveshafts made Monday and need to connect new extended brake lines, install tcase shifter and sway bars. After that taking the rig down to get the rear spring work done! Then it's time for a trip!

Driveshafts installed, all fluids filled, tcase assy installed, front bumper notched, brake lines installed, sway bar installed. Drove her home! First thing in the morning dropping it off to have rear springs built to match the ride height. Rest of the new wheels and tires (and spacer/adapter) will be installed once new springs are in. Last thing to do is extend the rear sway bar.

nice job

Looks great. Let us know how it handles once it is all done. We recently picked up a 29 footer for our family. Sure do want to do Chris's conversion on it. What size tires are you running?

Thanks
Jeremey

Happy to say that it's pretty much done! I had it wrapped up yesterday and couldn't wait so we took it out last night! It drives and handles awesome! It actually drives and handles better than stock. The wheel spacer/adapters, better tires and properly set sway bars outweighed any negative effect of the lift for handling. I took it up to big bear and did a little exploring through holcomb valley and big pine flat area. The suspension is wonderful, wayyyyy better than stock. The e450 motorhomes have de-arc'd springs and purposly ride on the bump stops which makes it ride horrible. Now I actually have several inches of travel before I would even touch the giant bump stops that come factory on this vehicle. Here are some pics of how it sits now and from my quick little trip.

Nice RV. That will be my next project- pick up a 22-24' late model rv and install the 4x4 kit.

Any issue with the long rear overhang? I have a 1986 Class A 4x4 that I am considering shortinging out the rear so that it is more off-road worthy. Are you planning on putting supersingle wheels?

The rear overhang limits the departure angle, no question about it. I don't really plan on running "trails" with this rig so no big deal for me. I just put all new 19.5 wheels and tires so no plans on the supersingle. I kinda like the idea of having a "backup" wheel and tire on each side.
