I want to run a taller , skinny tire on my 91 trooper, i'm thinking a 245/75/16.
Can anyone reccomend a 16" wheel similar to the stock 15" off of another isuzu or possibly a toyota or nissan.

Lotta guys like the "snowflake" Isuzu alloy wheels. Search car-part.com for a 95 Rodeo 12-spoke alloy wheel, they are 16"x7.5, neutral offset. There are pics over at planetisuzoo, just search for "snowflake"![]()

Stock steel wheels off a 92 or up Trooper should work fine.

Probably the best tire option on a 1st gen is a 31x10.50x15. Best on a 15x7-8 wheel with 3.75-4" backspacing. If you really want 16's the 265x16 is a popular choice and similar in size to the above. Most all Isuzu's used a similar 6 lug wheel. Both in 15's and 16's so there are lot's of choices in stock wheels. Some styles came in both sizes. Toyota wheels also usually fit. You want 3.75" backspacing. Some of the later models had more than that. Most any 6 on 5.5 lug wheel will work if the center hole has a 4.25" opening. The Zoo's use a big center hub and bearings. Your stock factory steelies are 15x6.
245x16 was the stock tire on most Zoo's with 16's. You might get lucky and find some nice wheels with good tires on them used from someone who is upgrading to bigger tires for offroad.
Nice looking 1st gen!

Your best defense against Murphy's law!
I have that exact size tire on a OEM alloy Isuzu wheel, works great!

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to keep looking on craigslist until I find a suitable set of wheels.
I don't need any tires yet. The bridgestone deulers that came on it are about 75%, but these troopers are geared low. Taller tires sure would help.
